Eleanor Ashcroft, KC

Eleanor founded the firm in 2004 after a decade at a national firm, on a simple premise: that owner-run companies are better served by a senior lawyer who stays with the file than by a large team that rotates through it. Twenty years on, she still runs every corporate matter she takes.

Her practice is corporate and commercial: the sale and purchase of privately held businesses, shareholder arrangements, financing, and the real-estate side of it all. Clients keep her on speed dial because she is direct about risk and unbothered about telling a client when not to do the deal.
