Business & Corporate

Counsel for owner-run companies, from the first agreement to the eventual sale. We keep the deal moving and the relationships intact.

What we do

The work, in plain terms

Most of our corporate clients are private, owner-run companies. They call us when something matters: a new partner joining, a supplier contract that has to be right, an offer to buy the business, or a shareholder who is no longer aligned.

We handle the legal work so the commercial deal survives it. That means agreements written to be read, transactions that close cleanly, and advice that tells you plainly when to proceed and when to walk.

  • Incorporation & reorganizations
  • Shareholder & partnership agreements
  • Commercial & supply contracts
  • Purchase & sale of a business
  • Financing & security
  • Corporate governance & minute books
  • Franchise & licensing agreements
  • Succession & exit planning
How a matter runs

Fixed scope, before we start

You will know the scope and the fee in writing before any work begins. For most corporate matters we can quote a fixed price; for open-ended work we agree a cap and report against it.

First

A short call

Fifteen minutes to understand the matter and whether we are the right firm for it.

Then

Scope & fee, in writing

An engagement letter setting out exactly what we will do and what it will cost.

Throughout

One partner

The lawyer who quotes your matter is the one who does it and signs the advice.
